Hollande was born in Barcelona, Spain. And obtained french nationality only at the age of 20. A republic means "public thing" in Latin. Frances government has existed for 56 years, and started in 1958. He can be president until 2022 if he wins next election. New election, revolution, boycott, assassination are ways for change in leader. The UMP is the second most powerful political party in France.
