Last Day Before Exams

Today was the last day in human geo class before exams. Today we went over what will be on the exam. Everything from Day 1 till now will be on there. So today in class we went over Did U Know 3.0, Elbert Hubert, Greek stuff like the Agora and arete. Also Population migration and Culture geography. Lots of stuff but I can remember it. Its good that we went over the Greek questions a little bit because I couldn't remember what an Agora was. But now I'm familiar with it. The best thing about class was that he let people re-take the Culture Geography test to get a better score and so I did that, and I Know I got everything right on it. Also in class Mr. Schick asked us questions that will be on our exam tomorrow and so he was basically asking us straight from the test. So now we knew some of the answers.

The Test

Today we took our test. The religion questions wernt hard but I wasnt here for one day for all the notes and so i did very poorly in that section. My grade was bad because of that. The stuff I got wrong was about OPEC, UN, EM, and I just didn't know the answers. But everything else wasn't that hard. But if i would have known the notes I would have gotten a better grade. So next test I will study more and get all the notes to get a new grade.

Today was Mr. Schick's birthday. But he had to leave early because he had a national competition or something. SO the whole class I got to study for the test tomorrow. It was awesome because now i feel more confident for the test. Tomorrows test is gonna be on the 5 Major Religions. Christianity, Buddhism, Judasim, Hinduism, Islam are the five major religions. They are very important to know also. We also got to work on hw for other clases which was pretty awesome.

Cultural Characteristics

Cultural Characteristics are parts of a group's everyday life. They are the ideas and themes which the group will teach to all members. These same characteristics can also link or divide a region. Examples of cultural characteristics would be language, religion, and ethnic heritage. Arabic unites the Arab world. Spanish unites the Hispanic world. These are examples of Cultural Characteristics. Brazil is the only South American nation which does not speak Spanish. It speaks Portuguese. Canada is a bilingual nation. French and English are their official languages. Switzerland has multiple languages but very little conflict between the groups. ENglish is now considered the world language and is used for most business transactions around the world. In Yugoslavia, many ethnic groups were made into one country- Ethnic Heritage-Serbs-Croats-Bosnians-Albanians. WHen strong leadership died out, the different groups fought a very bloody civil war and now they all have separate countries. In countries of Rwanda and Burundi in Africa, Two ethnic groups are dominant, the Tutsis, and Hutus. The united states and Switzerland have peacefully merged multiple ethnic groups in their countries. Korea and Japan have primarily one ethnic group.

End of the Movie

Today we finished watching the movie in class. It ended like this. Jamal was still in love with Latika, and he was still trying to find her. He loves her and she does love him also. ALso Jamal answers the last question for "WHo wants to be a millionare" when he dosen't even know the answer. So he is taking a big chance, and he's either winning or losing everything. He ended up getting the question correct and winning. He met Lakita at the train station so they can go somewhere to share their love. Jamal's brother Salim ended up dying trying to make up for all his mistakes toward Lakita and Jamal. He got shot. I enjoyed this movie and I learned a little on India's culture and how Jamal and Salim had to live through, from childs all the way to adults.

More stuff from the movie

Today we had a long class so we watched a lot of the movie. We watched the two main charcters live on their own, stealing money and making that off a living. What I thought was interesting was when they fell off the train into the windy dust and then they turned from kids to teen agers. They had found Laktika but we didnt finish the movie so i dont know what really happened with her yet. But Salim and Jamal would pretend they were fake tourists at the Tas Manual and make good money their until they got caught. So they made lots of money stealing. And for Jamal playing the millionare game he was winning so much money by answering all the questions correct. But Jamal's brother Salim was older than him so he pushed and bossed him around a llot and they would fight sometimes.

India

Today we watched a movie about people in India and what they live through and the culture they have. There is 100s of millions of people in India that are poor. Trading is a big thing to get money. Small houses to live in, Bombay which is now Munbi. Loys of torturing and just a scary pplace to be I think. Lots of orphans with no parents and they just do what they want. Back then Hindus attacked Muslims coming off the train and just stormed and beat people to death. Main character is named Jamal, and its about him on a million dollar show answering questions. He always answers them correctly because he remembers back when he was a child of all the events that happened to him. So in the movie there are flashbacks of him in India. The police men chase the kids around everywhere when they are being bad. The school is croweded with kids, and its crazy and loud.

Spotify Songs and Syria National Anthem

This national anthem of Syria is pretty cool. It sounds like a marching band for a football game. It dosent sound similar to our national anthem though. Guardians of the HomelandDefenders of the realm, Peace on you; Our proud spirits will Not be subdued. The adobe of Arabism, A hallowed sanctuary; The seat of the stars, An inviolable preserve. On spotify there are songs that pull and push people towards them liking it. The song LA LA LA by SHakira is a Fifa World Cup song that was sung by her at one of the games. This song is a pull because everyone likes it. The song Demons by Imagon Dragons is also a pull because the lyics sung in it are a pulling song in a way. A song that is a push would be Drop the World by Lil wayne, because its a bad influence on people. Also there is dirty language in it.

Culture Characteristics

Culture Characteristics are parts of a groups everyday life. They are the ideas and themes which the group will teach to all members these same characteristics, can also link or divide a region. Examples of Culture Characteristics would be language, religion, and ethnic heritage.

This map is the Generic Names for soft drinks by country. Throughout the U.S. people call soft drinks by different names. Pop, soda, coke, and any others. The color coding represents which state uses the type of name. Yellow shading is soda, red is coke, blue stands for pop, and green is other names. So from the information given, this shows how people grew up and said the type of soft drink they way they learned it. So if you live in Arizona or California you say "soda" and in like in Chicago, Montana, Oregon, and Nebraska stand for "pop".

Contry Government Test

Today in class we took our test. It wasn't that hard I though since I studied. The easiest questions were the pictures of the leaders and you had to identify them. Also there was questions from the last quiz that was on there that i knew. The hardest question on the test was probably What leader would leave office first? And the choices were Barrack Obama, Dilma Rousseff, Vladimir Putin, and Bashaar al-Assad. I answered Vladimir Putin and so I have no idea if that was correct. Also the BCR was kind of hard but I think I answered it correctly.

Today in class we studied all the notes for the test tomorrow. There is a lot of stuff but i think i got this down. Some of the notes was all the different countries and their type of government. Also the name of their leader or prime minister. Mr. Schick was not in class today because i think he had a competition for something. Im just wondering how this test tomorrow is gonna be set up. We had all the presentations done and so that helped a lot. Also we got a powerpoint slide from the teacher for us o study all day in class today, which should really help.

Presentation Day

First power point was FRANCE government. France has a republic government and semi presidential government. The republican form of government was in 1958. Divided into legistature, judicial, and other branch that i forget. Hollande ran against Sarkozy and won. May 15, 2012 he got elected. Part of a socialist party. Hollande was born in Barcelona, Spain. And obtained french nationality only at the age of 20. A republic means "public thing" in Latin. Frances government has existed for 56 years, and started in 1958. He can be president until 2022 if he wins next election. New election, revolution, boycott, assassination are ways for change in leader. The UMP is the second most powerful political party in France.

CHINA- is a communist state. Communist- a system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and every so often the authoritarian party holds power. Thats all the notes I have for today since thats how far we got.

Cancer Awareness

Today in class we went to a cancer awareness display. It was pretty cool. They had ways of showing you if you have breast cancer and other cancer spots. Also they had a bad pig liver that would pump up. Also there was a mirror of some kind that could let you see what you have on your face. Bad sun burn, oily skin and other signs that could give you cancer but you just cant see it. I learned today to not joke around about having cancer, because you never know until you might just get it. Today I thought we were presenting our presentation but that is tomorrow. I wanted it to be today so I could get it over with. Also there was rubber fake body parts that had a texture of a correct part of your body and a hard lump which means you have a specific type of cancer.

Last Day for working on Power point

Today was the last day for working on your power point for your country. Adrian and I are ready, we think. We got some important facts today for the leader Bashar al Assad. Syria's parliament speaker, Jihad Lahan, announced the final results from Tuesday's election, saying Assad garnered 10,319,723 votes, or 88.7%.
-Laham said Assad's two challengers, Hassan al-Nouri and Maher Hajjar, won 4.3% and 3.2% respectively. The supreme constitutional court put turnout at 73.42%.As you can see from these vote results Syria’s leader Bashar al-Assad had the most votes. But most of that came from Assad threatening his people to vote for him or else he will bomb you or your house. This info is a great important part for our presentation, because most of the people in Syria hate Bashar al Assad. Also we just added more stuff to make it better such as, a picture of the people holding Bashar al-Assad, and they put fire to it.

Day 3 for power point

Today Adrian and I were still working on our power point for Syria. We got some newer information. We found that if you want to get rid of the Syria leader you have to either assassinate him or take over the country by a swat team. The swat team part was Adrian's idea. Also i did one slide all myself on the early life background for Bashar al-Assad. Bashar al-Assad was born in Damascus on 11 September 1965, the son of Aniseh and Hafez al-Assad.[16] His father, born to a poor family of Alawite background, rose through the Ba'ath Party ranks to take control of the Syrian branch of the Party in the 1970 Corrective Revolution, culminating in his rise to the Syrian presidency. So for our power point today that's really all we got done. But I learn more about the country Syria everyday I work on this.

Adrian and Antony Syria Government

Today in human geo class everyone got a partner for a country government project for a power point. My partner was Adrian and he is cool to work with. Our country was Syria, and the type of government they have is an republic under an authoritarian regime. This type of government is a form of government in which state authority is imposed onto many aspects of citizens lives. The leader of Syria is Bashar al-Assad. He was born September 11, 1965. He has been in office since 21 of June in 2000. He is married to his wife Asma al-Akhras, and has 3 siblings named Hafez, Zein, and Karim. The power poin we are orking on has almost all this information. The power point is really good for understanding the type of government Syria has. The actual definition of government is the governing body of a nation, state, or community.

Going over the countries and facts assingment

Today in class we went over the countries and five facts about each one project. lots of people made mistakes and he told everyone that they could fix them later so they get a better grade. Se  i followed the instructions so i got a 60/60. Also in class we went over that when you look up a topic on google, google sends you to other websites related to it. Google is not an actual site. For the projects we did, we were suppose to use the CIA world fact book. Which i also did. I really enjoyed this assignment because it gave me a better grade overall and it was easy and fun to do. Also now I know some of those countries leaders and what type of government they have, which is very useful to know. Shizo Abe is the Prime Minister of Japan. His grandfather and father, were politicions. He was born in Nagato Japan.

Going over Population and migration test

Today in class we went over the answer to our test. Our estimated guess by Mr. Schick for what our average grade would be was a 72%. But we ended up as a class getting like a 79%. I would have had a beter grade if I had more time on the first 12 questions. We had 10 min going on the World factbook and it just wasn't enough time. I thought it was pretty easy test but I got a  c on the test because every question was worth 4 points each. I got 2 definitions wrong that I should have known. Total fertillity rate and net migration rate. But now I know the answers to them, since we went over it. Also at the end Mr. Schick gave us a weekend assingment. Its about getting info of countries amd facts about each country. You will put it on your blog so everyone can see it. Im happy he is giving this assingment because its easy and it will help my grade.

Absent people making up the test

Today in class we had 3 students that had to finish their tests. So they did them in class, and while they did that we got to work on any other classwork or homework for other classes. This was so awesome because now I could get my homework done now instead of doing it at home when instead i could be spending time with my family. Also when he started the timer for the students to get the first 12 questions done. When it got around to 4 minutes left he let my ring the bell and say out loud, "there are 4 minutes remaining." Also since they were making up there tests we didn't really do any work in class for today, which is kind of awesome. Also I played a game when I got my homework done called "return man 3 the season." Its fun I think, but I would totally do human geo class work than that, because that would be much funner.

The Test

Today in Human Geo class we took our test. I thought is was gonna be hard even if you studied for it. Mr. Schick only gave us 10 minutes to complete the 12 questions for the first part. On the CIA world fact book site. I kept looking on the clock and it was going so fast. Which made me wory. And when I couldn't find the answer to a question on the site I would panic. I didn't know if I should keep looking or skip it. I ended up only getting 10 out of those questions answered. And then the rest of the test I thought got even harder. If I had to guess what grade I got on this test, I bet it was either a high c or low b. The two bonus questions that were worth 2 points each at the end were impossible I thought. And Mr. Schick said you should try to answer it even if you don't know it. Because if you don't answer it then its wrong for sure.

Notes for the Test

  • life expectancy
  • crude birth and death rate
  • developing nations
  • developed nations
  • rate of natural increase
  • net migration rate
  • immigration
  • emigration
  • push and pull forces
  • fertility rate
all these topics have to do with the CIA World fact book for all the countries. Infrastructure is to buy and sell things. To make connection, communication. Structure of a country that allows you to communicate. The rate of natural increase is the crude death rate subtract the crude birth rate. The difference between immigration and emigration is that your leaving your country to go to another and going into a foreign country. A push force is causing someone to leave a country, such as diseases, or political problems. A pull force is the opposite. It has what the people want and so it pulls them to that. In the CIA world fact book, there is different categories such as population, economy, government, transportation, and military. And it gives information from all these categories to help you find what you need.

Spotify

Today in class we got introduced to SpotifySpotify is a commercial music streaming service providing digital rights management–restricted content from record labels including Sony, EMI, Warner Music Group and Universal. I thought this thing was really cool, and that I can listen to a whole bunch of songs. Also you can create your own play list of songs. And I will definitely be doing that. You can listen to artists, albums and playlist to suit you. For you to get this everyone in class got a long code. It was a bunch of lower case and uppercase capital letters with numbers. I can now listen to music on this Spotify and enjoy myself with music of my choice. Spotify is free and you can download it. Spotify is so social. You can share music on facebook, twitter, your blog, anywhere.

It's All about the CIA World Factbook

Today in class everyone was checking out the CIA World fact book. We were looking at all the information about countries and looking at each of there topics. Such as Population, Economy, Geography, Energy, Communications, Military, transportation. What I found interesting was that you could compare a countries population or number of deaths by aids to another country. There was a whole bunch of topics such as a countries birth rate, sex ratio, hospital bed density, drinking water source. For the United States, they have the largest and most technologically powerful economy in the world. Also whats really good for the United States is that they are ranked 3rd out of all the other countries for health expenditures. Japan is ranked 3rd for highest live expectancy, which is good. But it probably will decrease over time beacuse they are starting to eat unhealthy and with all the bad air pollution, from factories. This also goes for China too.

The Greatest Country in the World

In Fridays class we talked about what is the greatest country in the world. Some people said yes they are and some said they were not. The people that said they are the greatest country in the world is because They only live in America so they can't judge other countries so they choose America. The people that said there not the greatest in the world said that they just are not the way they used to be. And this is very true. America has changed in a bad way health wise and just the american way. We also watched a video about a guy giving his opinions on if America is the greatest country, and he started out saying yes. But when then he was being changed by his perspective because of one of the audience people had a sign saying America is not the number 1 country. So then he changed his mind and said what he really thought, and that America is the the best.

Population Pyramids 2

A population pyramid talks about birth rate and death rate. Woman have a longer life span than males. 3 different stages are Pre-Industrialization, post industrialization. The population Pyramid get wider or thinner every day or so because of people being born and dying. A country or region of the world), which forms the shape of a pyramid when the population is growing. Industrialization is a bunch of factories and that is like growing fast just like other fast growing country's. A population pyramid also tells how many people of each age range live in that area. Population Pyramids consists of two back to back bar graphs, with the population plotted on the x-axis and age on the y-axis. So for China for instance has the largest population so they would have the fastest growing country because of all there people. The total population in 2013 was 7.125 billion on earth.

Population Pyramids

A population pyramid, also called an age pyramid or age picture diagram, is a graphical illustration that shows the distribution of various age groups in a population (typically that of a country or region of the world), which forms the shape of a pyramid when the population is growing. Some of the questions for the Population pyramid were What were the estimated global population increase exactly one week later? The answer was 1,663,200. Another question was If a country slows in population growth, then it will be? (Inverted). The third question was, Population pyramids don't give you info on? How many actual number of people there are. The last question is What country would have the most fastest growth population? The answer is Asia because it has so many people to expand and increase population.

CIA World Factbook

Today in class we were looking at the CIA World Fact book and exploring what it has. It provides information on the current countries government, people, economy, geography, communications and other stuff. In class one of the students talked about the United States growth rate. It was only 0.77%, which is ranked number 143 out of 240 countries. This number comes from the birth and death rate in the country for the united states. Also Net Migration rate which is number of people entering and leaving a country during a year. J.C. gave us info on Antartica and about its military rules. He said they were not allowed to have fort bases. Which is weird to me. What I found on this cite that was interesting to me was the population in Syria is going down so much because of all the problems. And the families are just leaving and going to Lebanon. So now Lebanon is increasing fast..

Going over the Unit 1 test

Today in class we got back our unit 1 tests back and all during class we went over the correct answers. Some of the questions I got wrong were, Wikipedia should be used as a primary source when writing a research paper. The answer was false but I put true. But now I now the answer. Another question I got wrong was When was a message to Garcia written. I put August 1945 but that was wrong. The correct answer was March 1899. Also I said that the percentage of American voters who actually voted in 2012 was 86%. But that was also wrong, the right answer was 53%. Also I didn't do that well on two of the four BCR'S.  But we didn't go over those cause class was over. But now I know all the questions I got wrong and I will remember them when I take the exam for it around December. I wasn't happy with the grade I got even though I studied. But there was like two BCR'S on there I just had no clue to what the answer was. Also Mr. Schick would ring the bell if you got an A on the test, but when he called my name there was no ring. (Sad face)

Birthrate

Crude birthrate- number of births per 1,000 population. Crude death-number of deaths per 1,000 of the population. Rate of Natural increase- produced by subtracting the death rate from the birth rate. Net Migration Rate- the difference between the number of persons entering and leaving a country during a year. An excess of people leaving a country is net migration. An excess people leaving a country is net emigration. A migrate is leaving one country to move to another. All this birthrate is coming from different countries. But some birthrates are increasing and at some points were decreasing. United states of America has a high birthrate and like japan and Africa has a low birthrate. In Japan, the polution is bad so people get sick which causes pregnat woman to get sick and the baby. But in U.S. we don't have as bad air polution so not as much sicknesses.

Population And Migration

Over 7 billion people on the planet. And population is increasing by over 73 million per year. 201,000 per day, 8377 per hour, 140 per minute, and 2.3 per second. This is a lot of people. 90% of this population growth takes place in the developing countries of Africa, South and East Asia, and Latin America. Population, 1 billion, year 1804, time elapsed 10,000 and more. Life Expectancy is the average number of years to be lived by a group of people born in the same year. Life expectancy for Americans was like 70 years for men and 75 for female. From Chad in Africa men life expectancy was 49 years and woman 49. There life expectancy was below 50 years of age. This is because in Africa they don't have much food and the water they drink is not clean. Lots of people in Africa die from sicknesses. They don't have hospitals in America like we do. Americans are able to live longer because of fresh clean water and medicines for any sicknesses we get. This is Population and Settlement.

Absent today For an X-Ray

I wasn't here in class today because I had to leave early for an x-ray. It was on tuesday when we had a sub. Just wanted to let you know why I didn't blog.

Our first Test

Today in human geo we had our first test. At first I thought it was gonna be hard but It wasn't that hard if you had good notes in your blog. I had most answers but a view I didn't have so I had to make a logical guess for the couple I didn't know. I thought the test we got was fair, because we've had a long time to study for it and we have been going over all the stuff for it in class. Its worth 100 points so I need to get a solid grade or I'm gonna be in trouble. The first few questions I thought were so easy but when it got to the BCR's they were a bit difficult. The question was about a gathering place in the city of Athens and you are asked to go there because its important. I didn't really know what to say. But otherwise for the test I think I did alright. Of all the questions I thought the easiest one was what was the best source to use in human geo class. And that was Wikipedia. If I had to guess what I got I probably got a high b.

Making Questions for our test

Today in class we went over Globalization, A Message to Garcia, Ancient Greece, and Did You Know? Our test is on Wednesday and these four sections will be on the test. Also while we did this we would make questions for our test. So we would give the teacher good test questions and we would know them already. It's pretty awesome so everybody should do well. We've had a lot of time for this test because we have been going over these 4 subjects. Some of the questions were, Who wrote a message to Garcia? And the answer is Albert Hubard. Another question that will be on the test is What war was being fought at the time of the Message to Garcia? Spanish/American war. What are two examples of Globalization? Japan used to be a country with healthy and lots of population. But when America gave them McDonalds, it is making them not as healthy as they were before. Also there live span has been going down. Another example of Globalization is a tribes man in the middle of Kenya talking on a cell phone. For this to work he would need to be having cellular data with a cell tower. Also would need electricity. And one of the really big questions was, How did English language become the number one speaking language in the world? Five hundred years ago, between five and seven million people spoke English. Now, anywhere up to 1.8 billion people around the world speak English. This happened through spreading of culture and teaching the language to others. Also most jobs require you to be able to speak English, so job opportunities need that ability.

Globalization

Today we talked about Globalization and how its interconnected. Globalization is the connection of different parts of the world. Globalization results in the expansion of international cultural economic, and political activities. American fast food resturants have spread around the world such as China and Japan. But these unhealthy foods are influencing other countries towards lower life span and just not being as healthy. Also in America we have a good amount of factories and coal plants but like in china they have way to many. Because of this the air pollution is really bad many people will get sick and thats why there isn't as many animals or wildlife in China. Another thing for Globalization is that America had many cigaretts but when we traded with China, since there is many more people now China has more people that smoke. This is causing cancers which is lowering life span for all countries that smoke. And Globalization started this. The Silk Road-was a collection of trade routes connecting the markets of Asia with Arabia, the Mediterranean, and Eastern Africa. Lots of people didn't have ways to get silk but the Silk Road helped that for Trading. Globalization also spreads religious faiths, which is good so people have a religion to live up to. So Globalization is great but it can have some down sides to it.

English language everywhere

Five hundred years ago, between five and seven million people spoke English, almost all of them living in the British Isles. Now, anywhere up to 1.8 billion people around the world speak English. See even china will have more people that speak English than the united states. Because there is so many people in china learning English and so it will spread over time. English was taken around the world by the sailors, soldiers, pilgrims, traders and missionaries of the British Empire. English is so popular it has spread around everywhere around the globe. So all this is saying that English is the number one international language spoke in the world. Another thing we talked about in class is about online dating. Some sites are E Harmony, Farmers, even Facebook. We were saying that so many people in the world find somebody just by online dating. Also we talked about state farm, for people that talk to customers on the phone for any questions or problems. And we said that some people in India have this job, and they know English so that most can understand them.

If I was one in a million in china then there are 1,3000 that are just like me. So later there will be more Chinese people speaking English than people in U.S. already. My initial reaction to this was like "What that just can not be true". But once i thought about it more it was true and here is the reason why. Since there is way more people that live in china than the united states and lots of Chinese people are learning our language at there country and ours. In china there are so many more learning English and so it will spread in time and sooner or latter all of china will be speaking English pretty well. In the school Im at we have international students and some are from china. So they are learning some English here which they will probably teach to others back in china. Another thing in the video is that it says We are preparing students for jobs that are not even invented yet. Our world is getting smarter with more technology every year and so we are making students do jobs that aren't even invented yet. I think this is a good idea because when we have the job that has not been invented yet then those students will do that job. If Facebook was to be a country then it would be the third largest one. Bigger than the U.S. This is interesting to me because it was so popular at the time with so many people doing it. But now the new thing is Instagram. Technology plays a big role in my life everyday. At school i use a computer evereyday and so does everyone else. Also phones and tv's and radios are really big today for all humans.

A message to Garcia

In class today we went over A Message To Garcia. It took place during the Spanish and American war. The president at this time was McKinley, and he was making critical decisions at the time. He had sent out a guy named Rowan to find Garcia to give him a message. But all the people trying to do this would fail. But McKinley trusted Rowan to get this letter to Garcia. It was hard work finding Garcia and they didn't have computer so they needed to use encyclopedias to find Garcia. Rowan dissapered trying to do this and that was another fail for getting this letter to him. The letter was suppose to tell Garcia about cooperating with the Americans over the Spanish. And so as you can tell people were so lazy that you couldn't trust them to give a letter to one guy. But in class we were wondering if Garcia even excisted and if they were just gonna find him not there and waste there time. Apparantly Garcia was in Cuba and that was far to give the letter. This stuff we went over was pretty interesting and i liked it.

Blog Problems

Well I guess you can wonder what happened in Human Geography today. BLOG PROBLEMS!!! We started off class with our teacher helping us with fixing our blog problems. Mostly everyone had little minor problems, but mine was major but funny when I told my teacher the problem. The problem was i was on a totally different site than everyone else. They were on Blogger.com, and i was on blogspot.com. OOPS! So i had to watch how to do it and set it up in class. And at the end of class i stayed with my teacher so that he would give me info on what to do tonight for setting it up wise. Also during class i didn't really get to do anything on my computer so i just had to pay attention to the directions. But at least my fingers got some rest from typing. And the teacher said during class that there's always problems with the blogs at first but once your set up, your ready for blogging.
1.Organization-For me to be a better person in life one thing I can do is be organized. I try to be organized but I don't really do it often. But this year that's changing. I have a locker ladder in my locker so I can put my books and folders in the book shelves instead of shoving everything in there.
2.Responsibilitiies- I am always a responsible person when it comes to home work for school. I always do it and I take my time on it so that its correct. Other responsibilities I can do is help around my house for taking care of my younger brothers and sisters. Also by mowing the lawn.
3.Respectful-I can start to be more respectful to adults or anyone by listening and looking at them when their talking. Also as I'm getting older I get more responsible and respectful for things such as academics, and sports but I can only to this by hard work and being respectful to people for them to gain my respect.
4.Athleticism-I am very athletic and I can only stay that way if I stretch and get exercise everyday. I play basketball at a very high level and I need to work hard to get better at it. Also you should never give up in life or anything your doing and for me I never give up or quit in my athletics. I keep playing until the game is over.
5.Characterism-I show character some times by my abilities or traits. But I need to improve on this by telling and showing people who I am. I can do this by making friends or standing out in a specific thing. Also I would never cheat but a good example of showing good character is if you cheat on a test or something you can confess and take the punishment like a man if caught. It would be better to say you cheated then not and then get in trouble.
I walked into class all happy today because I had got done my blog from the other nights. But when the teacher said these were the only people that did or turned in there blogs. When I saw that and when the others saw that everyone's hand went up. The questions were but I did it though? So then he told everyone that he fell asleep so if anyone sent one after 9:30 he probably got it. So he said he didn't check his email after that and he found all the other blogs including mine. Wow that was close, because I knew I did it and I didn't want to come the second day of school and not have done my homework. And I put a lot of my time I into that. And for the rest of class while he was getting all of the other blogs, almost everyone was taking pictures or doing photo booth. All the girls were taking pictures and laughing cause they were excited. I also forgot to get a composition book so I need to get that quick. But for that class and for the rest of my day I thought it went well even though I was really tired.
-I woke up at 6:00 in the morning, and it was so hard but what kept me stay up was that it was the first day of John Carroll.
-I was all dressed up in my uniform looking fresh and my dad drove me to my 2 other friends car pool place and one of their moms drove me and them to school.
When I got there my friends and I went in and I went to put my stuff in my locker. But when I came back some of my friends were looking at me funny and they told me I wasn't suppose to go to my locker until 7:45. And I went at 7:30. OOPS and so I just went with the flow and said oh well and make sure I know the next day.
-I started the day by going in rotations to the lower and main gym.
-The auditorium to the cafeteria and I also got my picture taken.
-Then after that everyone went to their first class, mine was Spanish 1. It was pretty fun learning the teacher who she was and other students I met in that class.
-Then the best thing so far happened, I had 3 free mods straight in a row. I got to eat an awesome lunch, and get work done from my previous class in the library.
-The couch in there was so comfortable I almost fell asleep. I also got to spend time with my friends which was fun.
-Right after those free mods I had Intro to the Bible. The teacher was friendly and I had a ok time going over the class rules for that class.
-Then guess what, I had another 2 free mods. More time for me to do stuff I need to get done.I LOVE FREE MODS!
- Then I went to English class which was fun I got to pick my own seat and we did a get to know someone activity so now I knew a new person.
-Human geography was next and I thought it was the best class all day. The teacher was being funny, he took a girls composition book and slammed it to the ground to show that its good high quality.
-And the was the end of my first day of John Carroll.
