Last Day of Human Geo

Today was the last day of Human Geo class for me. I will be having a different teacher for S2 so I won't have Schick anymore. And for our last day we took a test on Korea. I did ok on it, but not that well. There was some stuff I new and didn't, and the ones i didn't cost me for getting a B. Overall for this class I enjoyed it, I enjoyed the teacher and everyone that was in the class. I had a fun time learning all the new things such as Athens, Albert Huberd, and Korea.

Final Notes on Korea

Kim il-Sung(1912-1994) ruled from 1948-1994. Prime Minister 1948-1972, President 1972 until death. He is the very first leader, he was viewed as a God. The people were required to show extreme devotion to him. If they didn't they could get in trouble, such as, death or being put in concentration camps. Then the next leader was Kim Jong-il (1941-2011) ruled from 1994-2011 as supreme leader. There is a ton of mythology about Kim Jong-il. Such as him walking at 3 weeks old and he could talk also. These are absolute lies, and they lied because it made the leader look good. The present leader today is Kim Jong-Un. He attend a school in Switzerland, and his friends said he spent hours drawing pics of Michael Jordan, and he loved the NBA. This leader changed big time. He threatened to do nuclear strikes on Washington D.C. and Los Angelas. But this impossible because North Korea is way out of range, they don't have a air force, we would shoot it down before it even gets close.

End of the Korea Documentary

Today in class we finished up the North Korea documentary. The ending parts were about the blind being able to see again, and being very happy, and thanking their dear leader with all their hearts. Also it talked about how this one guy that used to live in North Korea escape into china. He had to drug the guards and get through the electric wires. He had someone that went with him, but his sole mate died trying to crawl underneath the wires. He had said it was horrible and devastating to see someone die in front of you like that. The guy then made it to china. Another guy that escaped that used to be a soldier for North Korea made it, and he would give the info about North Koreans camps and bases. And he would describe every little detail. What I hated about the Koreans in this video is when they got there sight back from the surgery, and then start thanking Kim ill-un, when he didn't even do anything. They should have been thanking the guy who did the surgery on them, or else they would have never been able to see their dear leader.

North Korea

Today in class we continued on watching the North Korean film. North Korea is divided from South Korea and they hate each other. In the documentary there is a lady from America learning about North Korea, and she is allowed to take photos and get to know their country. Also a big thing in North Korea is that lots of people are blind, and one guy does over 1,000 surgery's a day. And last is that the most important thing in North Korea is their current leader Kim Jung-un. He is in charge of everything. He makes all decisions and everyone seems to love him. They said if our great leader died then we should be dead to, because there is no point living without him. Kim Jung-un's father had died and it was devastating that day. Everyone lost a piece to their heart because the best leader ever to them died. Everyday North Koreans honor their leader and they sing about him to.

Korea-North and South

• Currently headed by Kim Jong-Un, but did not like the interview.

• Official name: Democratic People's Republic of Korea. 
• Korea-they claim to be the legitimate rulers of the entire peninsula. They say "Korea," not North. 
• Pyongyang is the Capital. 

 At night there are like no lights lighting up North Korea, and South Korea is very lit up. North Korea has a large army, with nuclear weapons. So all the country's near North Korea have a big army just in case North Korea go's crazy. 

Reporters traveling to North Korea had to turn in their mobile phones at the border. 

Last Day Before Exams

Today was the last day in human geo class before exams. Today we went over what will be on the exam. Everything from Day 1 till now will be on there. So today in class we went over Did U Know 3.0, Elbert Hubert, Greek stuff like the Agora and arete. Also Population migration and Culture geography. Lots of stuff but I can remember it. Its good that we went over the Greek questions a little bit because I couldn't remember what an Agora was. But now I'm familiar with it. The best thing about class was that he let people re-take the Culture Geography test to get a better score and so I did that, and I Know I got everything right on it. Also in class Mr. Schick asked us questions that will be on our exam tomorrow and so he was basically asking us straight from the test. So now we knew some of the answers.

The Test

Today we took our test. The religion questions wernt hard but I wasnt here for one day for all the notes and so i did very poorly in that section. My grade was bad because of that. The stuff I got wrong was about OPEC, UN, EM, and I just didn't know the answers. But everything else wasn't that hard. But if i would have known the notes I would have gotten a better grade. So next test I will study more and get all the notes to get a new grade.
